Michael John Tamayo, Al Rashid Manatad, Leonardo Salongsongan and Raymark Gulfo (all HRM students) got into the semi-finals of the NCAA Senior Lawn Tennis by beating the teams from Emilio Aguinaldo College and San Beda College recently.

Stag smashers will be playing against three other teams, namely: Letran, College of St. Benilde, and the University of Perpetual Help.

Coach Nino Salvador is doing a tremendous effort to secure an improved spot in the finals. Last year’s finals was dominated by Letran as champion with SSC-R placing third.

SSC-R Manila bagged the Overall Championship in the 3rd Annual Marathon in celebration of San Beda College’s Foundation Anniversary. The victory was made possible by the following Stag runners:

Mervin Guarte – Gold Medalist (5K) + P1,500 cash
Justin Tabunda – Silver Medalist (5K) + P1,000 cash
Ferdinand Corpuz – Bronze Medalist (5K) + P500 cash
Michael Bacong – 4th Placer (5K)

Paolo B. Reyes, Ali Muhammad Ali and Mickhail dela Cruz (all 4th year computer science students) won along with the University of the Philippines delegates in the GLOBAL GAME JAM sponsored by the International Gaming Developers Association last January 31, 2010.

The College of Arts and Sciences is set the celebrate CAS Week from February 9-12, 2010. Bannering the theme “Excellence Beyond Classroom Experience”, the four-day celebration will highlight the following activities:
