A comprehensive course covering the fundamental concepts and principles of chemistry. This includes the development of the atom and atomic structure; the fundamentals of matter and energy; the underlying concepts of compound formation; the properties of matter and solutions as well as, the environmental significance and applications of principles governing chemical reactions. A laboratory component is included to make students apply the concepts learned.
