Paolo B. Reyes, Ali Muhammad Ali and Mickhail dela Cruz (all 4th year computer science students) won along with the University of the Philippines delegates in the GLOBAL GAME JAM sponsored by the International Gaming Developers Association last January 31, 2010.

The group’s entry “Pitch Black Labyrinth” won the BEST GAME TO PLAY UPSIDE-DOWN in the alternative game category. Meanwhile, the group from UP was cited 2nd Place in the Jury Award. The competition was also participated by computer professionals and computer game enthusiasts.

Organized in collaboration with Animo Game and UPITC, the event intended to gather, in one assembly, game developers from the Philippines and other countries and set a competition for participants to create games in two days.
