The Golden Stags Cheerleading Squad…people that come from different walks of life, formed and joined into a group. A group destined to be together, unified by friendship, passion and love for work. Inspired by ourselves and by those people around us and especially by our beloved school. Dedication and loyalty to San Sebastian College-Recoletos de Manila is a large contribution to what we have become. Success is not that easy, we had to get through a lot of things to be what we are today and to get to this position.

Years have past and our group evolved…from one choreographer to another, we learned and continue to learn a lot of things that helps us to build a competitive, disciplined, and versatile group that we still see to have because we believe that we know is not yet enough and that learning is a never ending process, that the people in our group can grow more and learn more in the years to come. Late night practices, aching bodies, injuries, financial problems, etc. are the few things we had experienced and encountered in this passion that we have… and that is, cheering for our school, the school provides us support in everything that we do and we ask for their help every time when it is needed. We have competed and join several competitions and events that contributed to our learning experiences…as the saying goes…”Learn from your mistakes” and “Experience is the best teacher.”
Our squad, really focuses on one main event that only comes in a year, where all the schools of NCAA has only one goal, and that is to be the best and to become the champion of the NCAA Cheerdance Competition. This competition only started in the year 2004, in which our squad achieved the third place and the following year, wherein we bag the victory of second place. We believe in taking things slowly and we wish, that if God would allow us, to bag this year’s championship…for the Golden Stag Cheerleading Squad…cheering simply means “our life.” We put smile in our faces and dance, cheer, and perform wholeheartedly every halftime and in any competition even though problems comes inevitable, we still have to do what we have to do, its called professionalism. From humble beginnings to a achieving success…the Golden Stags strives harder…we are united and inspired by God in which we get our strength, talents and confidence. Together, we will fight for our school and for what we believe in…BRAVO BASTE!!!
