San Sebastian routed Far Eastern University, 25-20, 25-12, 25-18, in a game it could not afford to lose to force a playoff with Adamson for the last finals berth in the V-League presented by Shakey's at the Blue Eagle Gym yesterday.

      On the eve of the 30th day of the month, San Sebastian College-Recoletos, Manila will be experiencing again the gargantuan and stirring annual festivity that signifies the cordial reception and the opening of the threshold of the whole SEBASTINIAN community to the Freshmen—the Night Camp 2006, with the theme “SEBASTINIAN IDOL Nyt Kamp 2k6”. This year’s night camp’s motif is zeroed in on the creation of an exact idol cast in the Augustinian Recollect values and philosophy, who is always feisty to tone with the pressing demands indispensable in different social facets without compromising one’s fervor toward moral principles.

Dubbed as “LOVE KO ‘TO, SCHOOL KO ‘TO!” this collaboration intends to heighten corporate relationship and continue co-branding for mutual benefit. Other than this, the scheme is an interesting strategy to promote brand loyalty and customer confidence.

      SSC-R has partnered JobsDB.com Philippines, an interactive recruitment ageny network to serve the students to an easy access and job searching via the Information Highway.       San Sebastian Canlubang Campus aptly marked its formal occupation of the 17-hectare land inside Carmelray Industrial Park 1 in Canlubang, Laguna last June 2, 2006 with greeneries planted in and out of its first structured building.

      June 8 was a colorful day as SSC-R Canlubang moves around Canlubang and Calamba, Laguna for a motorcade of news on its opening and inauguration. The same occasion intended to bring people in for a whole day of Open House activities which include orientation for freshmen students and parents.

Finally, San Sebastian College-Recoletos, Canlubang is now set to operate this June, offering the following courses:

      Sa nakalipas ng apat na taon, naging panahon ng Koreanovel, ng F4, ng reality shows, ng Starstruck, ng Pinoy Big Brother, ng American Idol,.. naging panahon ni Erap, panahon ni Gloria... ng EDSA 2 and 3, ng coup d'etat... naging panahon ni Manny Pacquiao... nangyari ang stampede sa Ultra, ng landslide sa Leyte... ng pabago-bagong cellphones, ng pc games, ng friendster... at ngayon, makalipas ang 4 na taon, malugod kong masasabing panahon naman natin.

      School Year 2005-2006 will be leading 334 IAS students, 320 ICOM students, and 20 students from the Institute of Graduate Studies to the Commencement Exercises at the PICC.

      From the proud batch of ' 66 Elementary, Rev. Fr. Gerardo M. Orbos, SVD led the mass during the SSC-R Manila Grand Alumni Homecoming held at the SSC-R Manila Quadrangle last Saturday, Feb. 25. With him were Rev. Fr. Gernan Chicote, OAR (SSC-R Principal during the late 60's) and Rev. Fr. Hernando B. Omecillo, OAR.

Get ready with this rare gathering as SSC-R Manila brings back personalities during the Grand Alumni Homecoming this Saturday, February 25 - 4pm at the SSC-R Manila quadrangle. Dubbed as “RAMBULAN SA BASTE”, the affair will be hosted by Class Batches ’66 (Ruby Jubilarians), ’76 (Pearl Jubilarians), and ’81 (Silver Jubilarians).
