PRINCIPLES OF TOURISM
The course gives a general overview of the tourism industry. It provides basic knowledge of different components of tourism and the different sectors of the industry, the tour sector, the transport services and the institutional elements of tourism.

DOMESTIC TOURISM
It orients the students on the elements of Philippine geography such as Physical features, location, climate, natural resources and industries. It includes also the study of tourist attractions, special interest tours and Philippines traditional events.

WORLD TOURISM W/ GEOGRAPHY
The course is designed to provide students with general information on tourism in different countries around the world. It emphasizes history, geography, politics, economy, gastronomy, culture and tourism facts, which are essential to the understanding of these tourist destinations.

TOURISM LAWS & REGULATIONS
The course is designed to provide students with information of the rules and regulations governing the tourism industry in the Philippines. It emphasizes the regulations affecting all tourism-related establishments and services, specifically the regulations governing the accreditation of tourism-related establishments,
travel and tour services and hotels and lodging accommodations 152
as permitted by the Department of Tourism (DOT). It will also focus on all other rules, regulations and terms applicable to these areas in creating a well-developed tourism industry.

TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT
This course aims to give students sufficient knowledge on the different aspects of transportation and its importance to the tourism industry.

TOURISM PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
The course provides guidelines and techniques for developing tourism activities and destination through different tourism planning approaches. The course also includes history and trends of tourism development at all levels.

TOURISM RESEARCH
The course is designed to provide basic principles, methods, techniques and key processes involved in methods of research. Likewise, it covers the necessary learning skills, essential ideas needed in writing a research study. Basically, statistical computations are introduced to prepare students with the necessary skills in arranging, presenting, analyzing and interpreting data

BASIC ACCOUNTING FOR TOURISM
The course is designed to provide students the knowledge of basic accounting techniques and preparation of financial reports applicable to tourism and hospitality industry. It emphasizes the interpretation of financial statements, budget operations and general accounting procedures.

TOURISM INDUSTRY PRACTICES (PRACTICUM)
During the practicum, the students are assigned to participating tourism establishments such as hotels, motels and other accommodation establishments, resorts, travel and tour agencies, airline companies, convention organizers, and tourism organizations like DOT, PCUC, PTA where they are given actual work experience in various aspects of tourism industry.
Practicum is offered on the last semester of fourth year. The students have to complete 300 hours of training prior to practicum proper. Students must complete first their academic units for them to better appreciate the work situations. They
will be exposed to different rudiments of tourism industry in which they can assimilate the skills and knowledge acquired from the program.

HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT FOR TOURISM
The course will provide the students with a comprehensive understanding of the value of mental hygiene and the maintenance of a mentally healthy personality, which include principles and practices for optimum adjustment to growth, changes and development.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE 1 & 2
This course is designed for apprentice of Japanese language. It deals with oral and listening drills using the basic Japanese grammar patterns. Basic words/ vocabularies and parts of speech are related to the hospitality and tourism industry.

INTRODUCTION TO HOTEL & RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT
The subject explores the important rudiments of Hotel and Restaurant Management such as lodging, food service, meeting planning, travel and tourism, and the related business that make up the hospitality industry.

TOURISM MARKETING
This course aims to impart basic concepts to the students of Tourism Marketing with particular focus on tourism products, pricing these products, distribution of tourism products and promotion of tourism. The course also gives thorough explanations on the importance of marketing as an essential tool to the tourism industry.

TOUR & TRAVEL AGENCY MANAGEMENT W/ LAB
This course will make the students familiar with handling airline tickets and operating reservation system.

MICE MANAGEMENT
The course deals with project planning techniques and explores their applications in planning, organizing and scheduling a convention or exhibit. It focuses on the management and leading skills required in the planning of convention or exhibit.

TOUR OPERATIONS W/ TOUR GUIDING
The course is designed to help the students acquire skills and expertise in presenting tourist spots with emphasis on the geographical and historical significance and information about the place. It also includes the discussion of the ethical aspects of tour guiding.
